Sailing outside of Athens

We had a nice sailboat excursion yesterday around one of the islands nearest Athens and Aidan took some great photographs.  He should have a posting about the trip up later today or tomorrow.  Here’s the happy family motoring along:

Due to the general strike, taxis and public transportation aren’t running, but we’ve been able to organize private transportation, thanks to the helpful crew of Blue Water Sailing (thanks Adriana and Radu!) and the owner of our flat.  As long as the air traffic controllers are cooperative, we should depart from Athens with no troubles.

This afternoon we fly to Turkey and will first stay in the Cappadocia region in central Turkey.  After that we’ll be in Istanbul for about 2 weeks.
