Here’s were we are now and will be for three weeks total – the longest will be in one place so far.  I’m sitting under a fig tree watching butterflies dance above the lavendar.  It’s beautiful, sunny, and not too hot.  A lovely place to while away the rest of summer.

Isrtia or Istra is a peninsula in northern Croatia.  We are staying very near the coast of the Adriatic Sea near the town of Vrsar in the middle of the peninsula coastline.  In Istria’s more recent history it has been part of Italy, then Austria,  then after WW1 back to Italy until after WW2, it became part of Yugoslavia and now Croatia.

…a fig just dripped juice on me, it’s invitation for me to eat it!  more later…
